Children need calmness. It gives them a kind of security and peace of mind. For a child to be able to control their temper is a powerful and important value that is largely a product having a loving atmosphere at home. The first thing in getting a child to control their temper is them being willing to try to “understand” why things happen and why people act the way they do.

Three Abilities that Lead to Mastery
Mastery of a discipline or sport doesn’t just happen. It takes resources, learning, coaching, and training. In short, it takes constant practice to become a master- not just a few lessons or a book that gets half-read. Here are three necessary abilities one needs in order to master any manner of skill.
Challenge your child with the Six Tasks
Some tasks like the random acts of kindness will flow for your child, while having the self-discipline and not touching any junk food may be difficult for the entire family (you may want to break that down into chunks to make sure the whole family doesn’t rebel) it is important to note that nothing of great importance comes without a cost.
JOURNEY TO A BLACK BELT: PART FIVE – BLACK BELTS
Black Belt’s mission is to more deeply understand the martial arts in way that transcends the academy. A desire to share with others, to empower them and to lead them by example through perseverance and encouragement to all.
JOURNEY TO A BLACK BELT: PART FOUR – ADVANCED STUDENTS (BROWN AND RED BELTS)
We do not graduate students to black belt based solely on the amount of time they have been training but rather their drive to continually get better and pursue the very best standards set before them.
JOURNEY TO A BLACK BELT: PART THREE – INTERMEDIATE PHASE (PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN BELTS)
By the time a student enters their green belt ranking they should start understanding the system taught to them and how to best use the tools given within their strengths and weaknesses. Some people are aggressive, some are passive, while some are tall, others are short, some may have physical limitations and others may be natural athletes. Regardless of who a student is, they will no doubt experience many challenges in this phase that prepares them with the perseverance to keep going and overcome challenges in life.
JOURNEY TO A BLACK BELT: PART TWO – BEGINNER PHASE (WHITE, YELLOW, AND ORANGE BELTS)
Every new movement that a student has success, every stripe earned, and every belt test passed helps to build within them a “yes I can” attitude that it takes once they move into the intermediate ranks. To be promoted in these levels, attendance, attitude, and a willingness to try even when things get tough are the predominant factors in leading to a successful belt exam.
Journey to a Black Belt: Part One
There is a huge difference between being a black belt and having a black belt. A black belt is, after all, a black piece of cloth that is tied around one’s waist. On the other hand, being a black belt is something profound that represents who you are to the core.
